Hurricane Alex Impact on Valley View
« on: July 01, 2010, 04:49:18 AM »

July 1, 2010  12:00 Noon
The storm came ashore about 90-100 miles south of brownsville around 9:00 PM yesterday with 100 MPH winds but apparent minimal effects on Valley View Estates.
We had winds up to 40 MPH  and a total of 6.5 inches of rain but it was in spurts which allowed previous diluges to dissipate before the next one hit.
It is still moving through the mountains in Mexico but we have only had approximately .41 inch of rain in the park since midnight even though we are still under flash flood alert.
Been cloudy all day and no rain since dawn.
